The Global Stage of Nihon Buyo: Reflections on Our Bangkok Classes

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined our Japanese traditional dance (Nihon Buyo) classes in Bangkok this April. It was another month of incredible energy and dedication.

A Surprising and Beautiful Diversity

Since we began holding monthly classes in Bangkok, two things have consistently surprised and moved me:

1. The strong participation of men: It is refreshing to see so many men embracing the grace and discipline of this art form.

2. The global interest: Our studio has become a true melting pot. The curiosity and respect that participants from all over the world show toward Japanese culture is deeply inspiring.

In fact, I can say with confidence that our Bangkok school is likely among the most diverse Nihon Buyo communities in the world.

An Open Invitation to All

Traditional arts are often seen as exclusive, but we believe they should be a bridge between cultures. Whether you are young or old, regardless of your gender or where you come from, there is a place for you here.

If you have ever been curious about Japanese dance but felt hesitant to try, I encourage you to take that first step. You will find a supportive, international community waiting for you.

We look forward to seeing you at our next session!
